Navy Ships with Asbestos
Asbestos exposure and its health consequences were not fully understood until the mid-1970's. This means that many of the sailors and shipyard workers who worked in commercial and naval shipyards prior to this were largely at risk of exposure to asbestos. Naval ships, are particularlly known to be laden with asbestos use.
